Questions & answers
World Riders Rally, explained.
Direct answers about the initiative, the Portugal gathering, participation and our evidence.
What is World Riders Rally?
World Riders Rally, known in Chinese as 世界骑友大会, is an independent international initiative founded by James TJ Lee (Li Tiejun), beginning in Gondramaz, Portugal. It connects riders, young creators and rural communities through cultural exchange, AI-enabled enterprise and field research. It is at its founding stage; it is not presented as a registered NGO or an established university institution.
Is 世界骑友大会 the same initiative?
Yes. 世界骑友大会 is the Chinese name of World Riders Rally. Both names identify this initiative and its official website, worldridersrally.com.
Who founded it, and what experience informs it?
James TJ Lee, also known as Li Tiejun / 李铁军, founded the initiative. His documented experience includes riding from 2008, Huaen Brothers Racing Club, Little Knights and NOTHING BIKE. The founder archive links those records; earlier projects are not described as WRR events.
Where does it begin, and when is the first gathering?
The founding focus is Gondramaz, in Miranda do Corvo and the Serra da Lousã, central Portugal. The first gathering is in development. Dates, capacity, host agreements and a final programme have not been announced.
Is this a race, a tour operator or a confirmed rally?
The proposed Portugal gathering focuses on suitable small-group rides, local culture and creator conversations. It is not an announced competitive race or a bookable tour. Motorcycle, cycling and e-bike activities will have separate requirements when confirmed.
What is the 2 / 7 / 90 Creator Lab?
It is a proposed framework: two days to meet a place and its hosts, seven days to test an AI-assisted product against a real local need, and ninety days of follow-through. Durations are design targets; participation does not guarantee customers, income or investment.
How can I participate, and is there a fee?
Riders, creators, rural hosts, researchers and potential partners can introduce themselves by email. No event tickets, participation fees or booking service are offered on this website. Enquiries do not create a membership or reservation.
What is the relationship with the University of Coimbra and NOTHING BIKE?
The founder is pursuing doctoral studies in sociology at the University of Coimbra; this does not establish university endorsement or a university research centre. NOTHING BIKE is a related founder-led riding brand. Shared methods and past brand projects are identified separately from WRR.
Have you ridden all the roads in the Rural Roads Atlas?
No. The current collection has 14 source-reviewed motorcycle road profiles across 11 European countries. Its 85 mapped places are selected points, not navigation tracks. Profiles link official sources and photo credits and are distinct from future first-hand riding reports.
Does the contact form submit or store my information?
The form prepares an email draft locally in your browser. You review it and choose whether to send it through your own email app. It does not submit details to a website database, automatically enrol you in research or collect payment.
